The first ACRA webinar of 2023 is fast approaching! Join us for Surveys: Are They Going to the Dogs? on January 26 at 2:00 pm EST. This webinar will help CRM practitioners determine if canine resources are in fact a suitable tool for their survey or if they are barking up the wrong tree.

Participants will learn the science of dogs’ powerful noses and why they can be surprisingly accurate four-legged, biological sensors who can detect subtle chemical signatures of human decay. Presenter Paul S. Martin will use his twenty years of research and work with archaeological human remains detection (AHRD) canines to help the archaeological community better understand how this resource can be appropriately deployed with geophysical instruments to understand more accurately what is beneath the surface. Participants will have a better understanding of whether an AHRD canine team is right for a project, the results that a team can provide, and how those results can or should be interpreted.

As always, ACRA members enjoy the firm-wide registration benefit – once one person pays for a registration for the live session, all other employees can attend for no additional cost.
