The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is hiring GG11/GG12/GG13/GG14 environmental scientists, project managers, biologists, hydrologists, sociologists, and archaeologists! We are looking for highly motivated candidates to join the NRC’s Environmental Center of Expertise (ECOE). Our interdisciplinary team leads environmental reviews for the construction, operations, and decommissioning of nuclear power plants and facilities, as well as other activities related the civilian use of nuclear materials. In doing so, we ensure compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Endangered Species Act (ESA), National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Executive Orders related to Environmental Justice, as well as other applicable environmental laws, executive orders, and regulations. The NRC is responsible for licensing and regulating nuclear power plants and other civilian use of radioactive materials to provide reasonable assurance of adequate protection of public health and safety and to protect the environment. The listed salary range for these positions is $82,764 – $181,216 per year.
