As of June 29, 2022, ACRA will now require salary information such as compensation, salary range, or minimum salary for postings on our job and internship boards. Increased transparency in posting job salaries allows candidates from diverse backgrounds to have equal access to jobs and compensation. This transparency also works toward building relationships of trust between employers and potential employees as expectations on both sides may be more easily managed with clear communication.

The decision was voted on and approved by the ACRA Board of Directors in their quarterly meeting in June 2022. This policy is in line with ACRA’s commitment to creating a more equitable environment in the cultural resource management industry. Information about the importance of posting salaries in achieving pay equity is available here, and you can read more about how to add salaries to your job postings in this article from SHRM.

Note: jobs posted before this policy change may or may not contain salary information in the post.
