The Nevada State Historic Preservation Office is expanding its review and compliance section with a newly funded position. This SOI-qualified Archaeologist will consult with agencies under federal and state laws, provide technical assistance to various entities, and engage both public and professional communities on preservation issues. In that role, the reviewer will independently assess undertakings per federal and state statutes and convey preservation principles and standards to diverse publics. The position offers a unique opportunity to leverage one’s full archaeological experience while contributing directly to critical preservation decisions.
