Health and Safety Resources

It is vital that CRM firms prioritize the safety of their employees on site. Health and safety plans are a requirement for most, if not all CRM projects. Even if you are a small CRM firm working with a larger one, you are often required to submit your own safety plan as a part of your subcontract. These are blueprints for keeping all on the project safe and healthy.

Heat Safety

OSHA

The OSHA Outdoor/Indoor Heat Environments page provides a tremendous amount of resources for recognizing and preventing heat-related illnesses.

CDC/NIOSH

The CDC/NIOSH page on heat stress provides links to quick cards, posters, general information, and statistics in an accessible format.

Apps for Field Use

A few useful phone apps are below, including the NIOSH and OSHA Heat Stress, water consumption tracker, and UV Index. The NIOSH/OSHA apps are the same and have a “Precautions” button as well as great pages that provide hourly heat index predictions, heat illness symptoms and treatments, break schedule, and more.

Pandemic Safety

Health and safety on site is even more important during the COVID-19 pandemic. Multiple ACRA committees have come together to create a new safety plan template specific to pandemic operations for ACRA firms to use. Firms can use this editable Word document as a reference for safety plans on their own projects or as a part of subcontracts.
