The Georgia State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO)/Historic Preservation Division (HPD) has a Compliance Review Archaeologist position currently open that we wanted to share with you all to share how you are able.

The basic duties of the Compliance Review Archaeologist at the GA SHPO include advising agencies on legal responsibilities, coordinating review of projects, formulating and providing recommendations regarding eligibility and effects, responding to inquiries, providing guidance, and consulting with federally recognized Native American Tribes regarding/for archaeological sites, processes, and preservation under Federal and State preservation laws, including agreement documents.
