  • Alpine Archaeological Consultants, Inc. partnered with the Southern Ute Indian, Hopi and Pueblo of Laguna tribes and the Colorado Department of Transportation on a 1,200-year-old Pueblo 1 ridgetop village discovered as it was preparing for a highway connection project south of Durango, CO.   • Atlanta’s historic Auburn Avenue was once an important part of Black history for the city, but like many downtowns, now has dozens of buildings that are vacant. New South Associates has been working with the National Park Service and other groups on plans to revitalize the area, including a study done by the ACRA firm that recommends updating the 1976 historic landmark nomination to expand the district.
