Job Description

Chronicle Heritage is seeking a Team Lead with experience serving as a Senior Project Manager/Client Service Manager to lead Chronicle Heritage’s business operations in our West Chester, Pennsylvania Office. The successful candidate will be an expert in archaeology, architectural history, or history and will spearhead the development and management of new projects and clients, serve existing clients, manage personnel, conduct quality assurance and quality control, and drive the success of business in the local area. The successful candidate will also work with our existing Regional and Office Principals and other senior staff members to navigate federal, tribal, state, and municipal ordinances for our clients.

Hire Type: Full-time (salaried) + bonus programs
Schedule: Monday–Friday, normal business hours
Location: Office-based, Hybrid, – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania or immediate vicinity
Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 – $80,000/year

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees or delegates the day-to-day workflow of office or program personnel
  • Identifies key staffing needs for the office/program in the short- and long-term and leads recruitment efforts
  • Manage all aspects of projects and implementation processes to achieve successful completion of all projects
  • Supervise, guide, and direct team members to ensure compliance with set standards, procedures, and policies and ensure the team meets their utilization goals
  • Communicate and collaborate with clients to analyze information, needs, and functional requirements for assigned projects
  • Develop project plans that identify resource and budgetary needs for various projects
  • Develop internal communication strategies to ensure communication between various departments within the organization
  • Coordinate with Account Executive(s) and Regional Principal to identify new opportunities and create strategic plans to pursue market targets
  • Cultivate and negotiate new business platforms in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware
  • Develop proposals for existing and new clients

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in anthropology, archaeology, architectural history, history or a closely related field
  • 5+ years of experience within an environmental, engineering, or cultural consulting firm
  • Pennsylvania project experience, experience working with PHMC and regional SHPO/THPO offices
  • Experience serving as a Project Manager and Principal Investigator on survey, testing, and data recovery projects
  • Experience with budgeting, proposal preparation, and client service
  • Reside in Pennsylvania

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced degree in anthropology, archaeology, architectural history, history or a closely related field
  • Experience as a Senior Project Manager, Principal Investigator, Team Lead, or Client Service Manager
  • Experience preparing various technical reports under various regulatory requirements in the mid-Atlantic and northeast
  • Strong background in Section 106 process and consultation with private and public clients. Additional experience working within NEPA and Section 4(f) regulations in Pennsylvania and surrounding states.
  • Strong business acumen
