Duties and Responsibilities
Incumbent in this role is responsible for overseeing grant applications, finances, and program implementation for the Historic Preservation Office (HPO). This includes managing, grant submissions, coordinating budgets, designing publications, maintaining records, and serving as a point of contact, while also handling public inquiries, providing administrative support, and managing special assignments aligned with historic preservation goals.
Incumbent monitors and maintains statistics on HPO program activities necessary for reporting requirements. Coordinates the preparation and submission of all periodic and final reports required by awarded grants. Provides support to the OP Finance team necessary for the preparation of financial reports, documents, annual reports, and other written communication to meet funding and program objectives and deadlines. Prepares detailed annual reports and publications with narratives and illustrations for submission to the National Park Service and DC Council, meeting regulatory requirements. Ensures accessibility by posting on the organization’s website, fostering transparency, and maintaining accountability to stakeholders and the public. Monitors HPO section on OP website, posting public information and notices. Submits materials to DC government and public websites, ensuring transparent communication of grant details, especially in historic preservation. Emphasizes multi-platform dissemination and actively promotes engagement in grant-supported initiatives.
