The Georgia Department of Community Affairs is looking for an Environmental Review Historian in Atlanta. Primary responsibilities are to review projects for National Register of Historic Places eligibility and effect determinations for Section 106 compliance and similar/related state and federal laws; assist in resolving adverse effects, including negotiating, and reviewing agreement documents; and provide technical assistance, provide information to the public, give presentations, and conduct meetings and site visits as necessary.
This position is with the state historic preservation office (SHPO). The advertised salary range is $40,000-45,000.
