Each year ACRA presents a dynamic and multifaceted convention to bring together CRM practitioners and those in related fields. Our annual meeting is a prime venue to exchange ideas and meet new colleagues. It is through member participation that our conference program can expand each year, bringing new ideas and evoking teamwork as we strive to make our industry stronger. Our 26th annual conference will be held at the Menger Hotel in San Antonio, Texas, from September 23‒27, 2020.
This year’s conference theme — CRM: Bridging Agencies, Industries, and the Community — highlights the important role CRM firms fill, from helping clients successfully navigate established processes to ensuring that the voices of community members are heard. This ideology is particularly true in our host city as San Antonio has deep connections to heritage tourism and the inclusion of the public in CRM work.
The call for sessions for the 2020 conference is NOW OPEN. Using the conference theme as a general guide, sessions can reflect a variety of CRM topics, including business operations, reaching out to the academy, continued education, technological advances, advocacy, and best practices. Sessions can involve an individual speaker, a suite of presenters, or a panel (maximum of four panelists); they can also revolve around a presentation or an interactive activity. Each session will last between 45 minutes and two hours, depending on the topic. Our goal is to craft a well-rounded program that will provide value to our attendees.
