Hiring preference may be given to an individual willing to relocate near our Montrose headquarters; however, applicants will also be considered who are within our region and willing to travel to Montrose for team collaboration.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Acting as primary project contact for federal, state, and municipal agencies, and private clients.
- Collaborating with the management team during scope, proposal, and budget development.
- Ensuring that all fieldwork, analysis, and reporting meets Alpine’s high-quality standards.
- Mentoring staff to develop their skills in accomplishing project requirements.
- Remaining current with relevant agency protocols and permit stipulations.
- Tracking the progress of numerous projects through the entire compliance process.
- Working collaboratively toward project success and leadership in staff development.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in anthropology or archaeology plus five (5) years of supervisory experience in archaeological fieldwork, analysis, and report preparation.
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-pace consulting environment, handling multiple projects. assignments, research, survey, excavation, analysis, and technical writing.
- Experience conducting historical research using primary source materials.
- A thorough understanding of the cultural resource regulations and agency permitting requirements in one or more of our service states.
- Strong organizational, communication, writing, and computer skills are integral to this position.
- Ability to conduct occasional fieldwork that may involve overnight stays, hiking in inclement weather, rough terrain, and/or high elevations.
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Salary and Benefit Package
Starting salary range: $85,000–$95,000/year, commensurate with experience
Expected salary range: $90,000–$110,000/year
